Powered by People

Choice is powered by real humans with heart, grit, and sleeves rolled up.

We’re ready to get to work, always.

We were co-founded by David and Connie, longtime colleagues and co-conspirators in turning bold dreams into action. Throughout their 30+ year career, they’ve built buildings, launched programs, written grants, and helped thousands of people stay housed—all with a whole lot of joy.

“We don’t just develop and manage properties—we know our residents by name.”

David, Co-Founder

What made you start Choice?

David: We realized people needed more than just help with rent. They needed a support system that would actually help them stay in their homes. They needed someone who could solve problems, connect the dots, and get things done.

Connie: But we kept running into barriers. Butting up against programs that didn’t talk to each other. Tangled in systems that moved too slowor didn’t do enough. We realized we’d have to create something totally new.

David: So, we created Choice.

What does working together look like?

Connie: I’m a social worker and one of my strengths is dealing with people who are in need of services and those that want to plan for what their loved ones may need in the future. As Choice grew, I was able to develop programs that aligned the Choice mission of building housing with supportive services.

David: I’m the big-picture guy. If there’s an idea that sounds too ambitious, it probably came from my brain. I like to dream big and do bigger.

Connie: We bring different strengths to every project, but we’re always working toward the same goal: supporting residents and communities.

David: And we’ve been doing this long enough to know that we can’t do this work alone, or without a little bit of humor. That’s what keeps us going.

What makes Choice different?

Connie: We don’t disappear after the ribbon cutting, or when the last resident moves in. We’re still there, weeks, months, and years later, making sure residents have the support they need.

David: We don’t just develop and manage properties—we know our residents by name, we meet their kids and their grandkids, we’re therefor barbecues and birthday parties. We show up time and time again, for the big moments and all the little ones in between.

Connie: It’s who we are. And that will never change.
